    • Killed in Action; Julian was killed during operations in the vicinity of Fremifontaine, a small village in the Lorraine region of northeastern France. His company was supporting the 180th Infantry Reg. when his M-10 tank was hit by enemy shell fire.
    • Julian served as a Tec 4 in Company A of the 645th Tank Destroyer Battalion. He was killed in action during operations in the vicinity of Fremifontaine, a small village in the Lorraine region of northeastern France. Company A was supporting the 180th Infantry Regiment when it came under enemy shell fire. A heavy enemy mortar shell dropped in the open turret of an M-10, exploding on the floor plate, causing five casualties. The M-10 burned immediately. Julian and another crew member were killed.
