TUCKER - A good man went to his reward when Mr. James H. Tucker, of the Maywood section, passed into the great beyond at an early hour Wednesday morning, aged 56. He had complained a little the evening before, but when his niece went into his room at about 4 o'clock that morning he told her he was feeling first-rate. She called him at 7 but no response came and on entering the room she found him dead. It is believed that heart disease was the trouble. His excellent wife, who is crushed with grief, was attending the bedside of her daughter, Mrs. Russell Dillion, at Livingston, when she was made a widow. Mr. Tucker was a splendid man, popular with his neighbors and loved by all who knew him. He was a strict member of the Methodist church and having lived a righteous life, death held no fears for him. Besides Mrs. Dillion, a son, J. A. Tucker, survives and they with their mother have the sympathy of all in their great loss. At 10 yesterday morning funeral services were held by Rev. McIntyre at Mt. Hebron church, after which the remains were brought here and interred in Buffalo Cemetery. An excellent man has fallen; let others emulate the good example he has set.
